Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 July 2026

This policy explains what Unbify Build collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it in plain language on purpose.

1. What we collect

Account details you give us: your name, email, and — if you choose to add them — a headline, bio, avatar, skills, and profile links. Builders may also add a contact phone or personal email.

Things you create: solutions you submit, bids, messages you send to the team, and enquiries or contact messages.

Payment details: if you take payouts, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and holds the information needed to pay you. We don't store your full bank or card details on our own servers.

Basic technical data: we use error monitoring to capture crashes so we can fix them. This can include limited technical context about the error.

2. How we use it

To run the marketplace: create your account, show your profile, review and list submissions, match you to relevant requests, process sales and payouts, and let you and the team communicate.

To contact you: transactional emails such as sign-up confirmation, password resets, and notifications about your submissions, bids, sales, and messages. You can opt out of non-essential email categories in your settings.

To keep the service working and safe: fixing errors, preventing abuse, and improving the platform.

3. Who can see your information

Our team can see the details needed to review submissions and support you, including contact details you provide.

Other users see only your public profile — your name is shown in a shortened form (first name and last initial) to people who aren't on our team, and your private contact details and revenue share are never shown publicly.

We share data with service providers who help us run the platform — for example our database host, email provider, and payment processor — only to the extent they need it to provide their service.

4. Where your data lives

Your data is stored with reputable infrastructure providers and may be processed in countries other than your own. We take reasonable steps to protect it in transit and at rest.

5. Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal or accounting obligations. When you delete your account we remove or anonymise your personal data, except where we're required to keep certain records.

6. Your rights

You can access and update most of your information from your profile and settings. You can delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to a copy of your data or to object to certain processing — contact us to exercise them.

7. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary to sign you in and keep you signed in. We don't use them to track you across other websites.

8. Changes and contact

We'll update this policy as the platform evolves and note the date at the top. Questions about your data, or want to exercise a right? Reach us through the contact page.
